Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
They have added Florpower to the youngish NV La Bota de Palo Cortado 102, which was previously bottled with the numbers 75 and 52 but is really from 2010 (but not legally, so it only has the vintage in Roman numbers in some markets). They have produced this wine from the very beginning to be a Palo Cortado aged in 225-liter oak barrels. After almost 12 years, the wine keeps aging and gaining in complexity and depth, but it has kept freshness because they have kept the barrels quite full and the wine is not concentrated or old; it’s easy to drink and showcases the Sanlúcar style quite faithfully. I didn’t quite understand this wine when it was extremely young, but I like it more and more now… 2,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2021.
