Matthieu Barret Je Suis Ton Père is a young red wine made from the Gamay grape variety in the Rhone Valley region by Matthieu Barret of the Domaine du Coulet winery under the appellation Wine of France.
The grapes of the Gamay variety come from a vineyard with an average age of 5 years planted on clay-limestone and loamy soil.
These vineyards have been cultivated using certified biodynamic viticulture techniques and a low-intervention process in the winery.
Winemaking
The grapes were organically and biodynamically farmed and after an early manual harvest they underwent a 2-week maceration before fermentation with natural yeasts in concrete tanks.
The wine is aged for 9 months in an ovoid concrete tank. The wine is bottled without fining and with very little sulphur added.
