Description
Puro Rofe Masdache is a white wine made with native varieties listán, malvasía and vijariego blanco being a young project of Puro Rofe. It is a rather bold wine with direct fruits from the volcanic terroirs found in Lanzarote.
It is a wine with a composition of the three typical varieties of the island, but with more weight and minerality, planted in traditional pits. In the production of this wine they apply a low interventionist philosophy, due to their great commitment to the ecosystem, so, in a way, they manage to bottle one of the most breathtaking viticultural landscapes in the world.
Winemaking
The vinification of the Puro Rofe Masdache wine begins with a pressing of half of the volume with spontaneous fermentation, and without adding any oenological products. The rest of the wine is macerated for a day with the destemmed grapes, but without pressing, a respectful agriculture is practised without any mechanisation and by hand.
After the whole process, the wine is fermented in barrels and remains there for 7 months in stainless steel tanks. This wine is finally bottled unfiltered and unclarified, in order to offer a unique typicity. The grapes are harvested according to the absorption capacity of the cellars, in order to avoid any deterioration in quality.
Taste
Puro Rofe Masdache is a fascinating wine with a saline, intense and spicy profile. It has aromas of white fruits, a crisp acidity in the mouth, a very marked minerality and a slight saline touch.
A wine with a profile
This is a wine that presents itself as fascinating; it is the Puro Rofe Masdache, product of a volcanic soil landscape. It is ideal to combine with seafood or white fish dishes .
