Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The top of the range for whites, the 2019 Valtuille Godello (they own the brand Valtuille) comes from a single plot in the in the paraje El Val (it will carry the name of the paraje and will be a Vino de Paraje official category from 2021 onward), a west-facing slope in the village. It fermented in 500- and 700-liter oak vats, where the wine matured for one year with the lees that were not stirred. It has a very expressive nose with notes of fennel and flowers; it’s aromatic, expressive and harmonious. It’s tasty and finishes dry and clean. 1,100 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2020.
